State of New Mexico Legislative Capital Outlay Funding in 2024for the installation of a additional water storage tank at the Water Treatment Plant Site. Request approved for $1,925,000. to be installed in 2025. This Project will provide additional water storage for our expanding system and fire protection.

Raw Water Storage Reservoir

North Star has request Capital Outlay Legistative Funding for $9,750,000 for the construction and installation of an additional Raw Water Storage Reservoir to be located next to the existing Reservoir to supply the Water Treatment Plant, if approved the installation and design will start in 2026 for completion in 2027. This will double the storage volume from 16,000,000 gallons to 32,000,000 gallons on provide storage for droughts conditions, fire protection, and water system growth.
